Aotearoa Intelligence Zone (AIZ) is committed to establishing New Zealand’s first sovereign AI compute centre powered primarily by clean and renewable energy. The project employs a modular, container-based data-centre architecture integrated with photovoltaic generation and battery storage, delivering high-performance, energy-efficient AI computing services to research institutions, enterprises, and government agencies.

The founder has secured funding for site acquisition and initial equipment procurement, and is now seeking early-stage operational funding and strategic partners to accelerate project deployment and strengthen New Zealand’s domestic AI infrastructure.
